Queer Center has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CMEM for mutual collaboration in addressing discriminatory speech against LGBTI+ individuals in media content.
Recognizing the importance of promoting inclusivity, equality, and fair representation of sexual and gender minorities in both media and society, the association Skopje Queer Center and the Council of Media Ethics of Macedonia have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum envisions collaboration to cultivate an environment where tolerance, respect, and understanding for sexual and gender minorities are practiced. It aims to ensure accurate and fair representation of sexual and gender minorities in media reporting and content, educate media professionals on ethical reporting, address issues related to sexual and gender minorities, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at raising awareness and combating discrimination against sexual and gender minorities.
